Founded in 1885, St. Luke's is the oldest parish in the Episcopal diocese of Southwest Florida.
Our vision is to be an abiding witness in our community to the love and saving power of our Lord Jesus Christ.

PATRONAL FEAST: Celebrate St. Luke, our patron, on Sunday October 18, in the Fellowship Hall. A lunch of Beef Bourguignonne and Banbury Cakes will be provided. When you sign up, please indicate if you will bring a salad, side dish, or nice, crusty French bread to fill out the menu. Please make plans to join us in Christian Fellowship and sign up in the Parish Hall.
ITALIAN DINNER: Chorister Jeff Rehm and his duo, 78 RPM, will be performing during a fundraising meal in the Fellowship Hall on October 30, at 5pm. The cost will be $25 per person for an Italian dinner and the show; please sign up in the Fellowship Hall. More details to come!
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: “Let the little children come to me…” Matthew 19:14
As we prepare to celebrate the Nativity of our Lord, we have a beautiful opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus by participating in Operation Christmas Child. Each shoebox we pack is more than a gift—it is a tangible expression of God’s love and an opportunity for a child to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. Please stop by the Daughters of the King (DOK) table in the Parish Hall during coffee hour on Sunday, October 11, or Sunday, November 8. We will have shoeboxes, information, and DOK members available to answer your questions and help you get started. If you have questions or need assistance, you may also contact the church office at (239) 334-2479. The final collection date is Sunday, November 22.
OUR LEASE OPTION IS STILL AVAILABLE: In an effort to expand our ministry, with the help of Mayhugh Commercial Realty, we are making classroom and office space available for lease (NOT FOR SALE!). The leasing option is being promoted on the realtors’ website. This would be an ideal facility for a private school, day care, expanding church ministries or adult education. Please pray that we’ll have success as we consider leasing opportunities.

Yet another parable from Matthew provides both food for thought and the basis of a classic joke. Fr. Jeff serves up both. The parable of the man who throws a wedding feast for his son teaches yet another aspect of life in the kingdom of God. The unworthy spurn the father's invitation, and instead of them he invites in whomever happens to be in street at the time. This lot is described by Matthew as being both "bad and good." We gave thanks then for the generosity and grace of God, which shows that we don't have to be worthy to be invited into the kingdom. At the same time, we acknowledge that while we come into the kingdom as we are we cannot stay the way we are. We thus pray and strive to become worthy of the grace and favor we have been shown,
